After the great success of its 1st edition, the Dubai Cheese Fest is back and attracts even more visitors with a unique program and a pool of international chefs.

For the second consecutive year, Hopscotch Sopexa has designed and organized its “Cheese Fest”, the region’s largest international Cheese Festival. This year, the edition of the Cheese Fest took place on the 22nd of February at Barasti, a F&B Venue within Le Meridien Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina.

 

The Cheese Fest has welcomed 12 different brands : USDEC (Cheeses from USA), Le Petit Beret, CNIEL (Cheeses from Europe), Lactalis, Savencia, Lune de Miel, Perrier, Giffard, Vache qui Rit, Kiri, Bord Bia (Cheeses from Ireland) – and over 13 stations with cheese based recipes from all over the world (Italian, Arabic, Greek, Indian, Swiss, South American…). Visitors could even make their own cheese platter at the Cheese Bar & discover sweet treats made with cheese (Mascarpone gelato, ricotta pancakes…).

 

From 12am to 11pm, the event was punctuated by numerous activities in order to offer visitors an ideal cheese day.

The event has also been designed to be family-friendly with games, drawings, petting zoo and even a mobile tattoo station with the cheesiest designs !

The festival included many activities such as cheese pairing (Cheese/Non Alcoholic Wine, Cheese/Expresso, Cheese/Red Wine). Discovering Ireland through an Irish dance class and an interview with a cheese maker. Unique and challenging games such as Cheese Pursuit with Ludovic Bisot, Best Craftman in Cheese, who came all the way from France for the occasion, and meetings with chefs from all over the world. Visitors could also take part in demonstrations and mocktail tastings, cheesecake tastings, blind cheese tastings, etc.

This second edition was a massive success with almost 4,000 people in one day, and a real digital and media craze.
