Sopexa was awarded the Silver medal in the Editorial Communication category of the “Grand Prix Stratégies” for the comic book “Mission Miam”, a comprehensive educational work about food, designed with, and for, youngsters!
Today, France has 2 million overweight children. Children know the official nutritional recommendations by heart, but the fact is that, although they can recite them, they don’t always understand what the guidelines actually mean! Mission Miam offers them a new way of speaking about food without any taboos and that doesn’t make them feel guilty.
Based on the everyday lives of 9 to 12 year-olds, the comic makes humorous use of their social norms and language to get the right messages across, ones that can be understood, memorized and incorporated in their current lifestyles!
The comic book was distributed during Semaine du Goût® (‘Taste Week’) , at 2,500 elementary schools taking part in the Leçons de Goût® (‘Taste Classes’) programme and to all paediatric clinics in France. Today, more and more schools, doctors, nutritionist are claiming it.
In order to continue distributing it nationwide, and why not develop new formats, such as a cartoon for example, we are looking for new sponsors.
