BreadBot, a FoodTech gem, is turning heads at CES Las Vegas! And, at the same time, raising an interesting question: are robots one day going to replace bakers? Fair enough, as in recent months, we’ve been hearing a lot about new technologies capable of cooking up miracles in the FoodTech sector.
The big news in bread is happening in Las Vegas and it goes by the name of Breadbot! This breadmaking machine unveiled at this year’s CES exhibition is proving a big hit. And with good reason: it can bake up to 200 loaves a day, an outstanding pace according to AFP.
And – you guessed it – Breadbot has even set its sights on baking up the iconic French baguette! From mixing to kneading to baking, it handles the entire breadmaking process from A to Z. So what will become of the beloved corner bakery shop? For the time being, not to worry, Breadbot is aiming to win over supermarkets, which are interested in selling fresher bread than is usually found on store shelves.
