    For this year’s edition of Agency Open House Day (JAO), the AACC will be telling you about “transformations”. And at Sopexa, the agency 100% dedicated to food, drink & lifestyle, there have been many! Here are the highlights below:

     

     Snacking: Perhaps THE trend of 2019! While snacking seems to particularly appeal to millennials, the phenomenon is reaching all generations. The key word is originality, whether in terms of tastes, textures or formats.

     

    O+O:  The time for O+O has come. In China, the Wines & Spirits sector is a precursor. Smart labels now enable consumers to get information on the product’s origin, advice on how to enjoy it, indications on where to buy it and, of course, where it can be found online! Love the wine you are sipping at your favourite restaurant? What a pleasure to be able to order a case for your home even before the server has offered you dessert!  Everything is at your fingertips – just reach for your mobile! 

     

    Peganism: You may have never heard of it before, but it is one of the most popular search terms today on @pinterest! Peganism combines the paleo (think “caveman”) and vegan diets. On the menu: a whole lot of unprocessed foods. The focus is on lean meats, poultry, fish and seafood, eggs, walnuts and seeds, as well as low-starch fruits and veggies. On the other hand, this diet excludes dairy products, grains, legumes and preserved or processed products (for example conserves, cakes, fizzy drinks, etc.) 

     

    Survey: This year, @sopexa_agency presented the findings of the Wine Trade Monitor, its international prospective survey dedicated to wines that included sparkling wines for the first time ever. In 2018, the Wine Trade Monitor had namely revealed the growing popularity of Chenin Blanc in the USA. This success should spark a new trend as the United States is the top market for varietal wines and a key indicator for this category.


    Hotdesking:
     This trend from the United States is changing the way people work. No more permanent offices, and everyone is free to move about in order to encourage group project work, promote communication between teams and get people up and moving. Sopexa has been using hotdesking since 2018, yet another sign of the agency’s renewal. The new company culture incorporates its key values – a passion for great food, creativity and an international mindset – as well as its agility. 

     

     Beekeeping: Sopexa is committed to protecting biodiversity and has set up smart beehives on the rooftops of Paris in cooperation with French startup Label Abeille. This initiative has helped curb honeybee mortality by 40%, thus helping to save this vital link in the food chain.
